Russian Bridal Customs

Every society has a wealth of wedding hot russian ladies traditions and Russia is no exception. While many contemporary Russian people opt for a more “westernized” ceremony that only requires them to sign their names in a register office ( or as we call it Zags), there are still those who want to go the whole hog and have the standard Orthodox celebration with all of its related entertaining.

As an example, a classic Russian few did greet their families with bread and salt as they enter the home. This is a means of wishing the novel partners a long life together. After this, the brides will include a special dinner of korovai, a rounded bride food filled with different characters such as birds, flowers, sun and stars, all wishing the couple wellbeing, prosperity and happiness.

During the welcome, friends are encouraged to drop a bit of money on the floor around the brides, known as “dvoryanka”. This traditional custom embodies a couple’s wish for great success in life.

Another custom is that the wife throws her flowers at the friends instead of the friends. Anyone caught it is thought to be the person who will marry the future, so they must be very cautious not to trample to painful. A piece of the plate must be positioned underneath their pillow for those who do n’t catch the bouquet.

The “ransom” is another well-known part of a Russian ceremony. In essence, the couple’s associates abduct the wife and keep her until he finishes a string of commitments that will eventually humiliate him. To open the maiden, the man had make either real or metaphoric payment.
